Our Policies

Office Hours and Cleaning Hours

Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Cleaning hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday service is limited, but available upon request.

 

Payment Methods

Clients can prepay for their cleaning services online using the Schedule a Cleaning form or pay at time of service. Maid to Clean accepts the following payment methods: cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. To guarantee your cleaning appointment, we require a credit card on file.

To set-up automatic credit card billing for easy payment of future cleaning services, click here to download the Credit Card Enrollment Form. For clients who wish to set-up recurring payment using their bank’s auto-pay service, please be sure to schedule checks to arrive at the Maid to Clean office before or on the day of your cleaning service.

 

Payment Policy

Note: If a cleaning is cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours of the appointment date, a $114 fee will be automatically billed to the card.

 

Late Payment

Payment is due at time of service. There is a $15 charge for payments received more than seven days after the date of service.

 

Rescheduling, 24 Hour Notice

We are happy to reschedule your appointment. Use our quick and easy online form or give us a call at 703.299.0101. There is no charge for rescheduling with a minimum 24 hour notice on business days (Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). Unfortunately, if you reschedule your cleaning less than 24 hours from the appointed date, a $114 fee will be billed to the credit card on file. Monday clients must reschedule by close of business on the preceding Thursday.

 

Late Cancellation, 24 Notice

Because we have reserved time in our busy schedule to accommodate your cleaning, we require a 24 hour notice on business days (Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) to cancel your appointment without penalty. To cancel now, use our quick and easy online form or give us a call at 703.299.0101. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours of notice will incur a $114 fee, automatically billed to the credit card on file. Monday clients must cancel by the close of business on the preceding Thursday.

 

Additional Charges

For recurring service, an additional fee of $38 per hour, per team member may be charged to your account if we exceed the time generally allotted to clean your home. For example, if you have recently hosted an event at your home and now it requires additional cleaning time to get it back to a spotless state.

 

Holiday and Office Closings

Maid to Clean observes the following holidays:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

If a routine cleaning falls on one of the holidays above, we will contact you in advance to reschedule. For all other holidays not listed, Maid to Clean will be open and our cleaning teams will be hard at work.

 

Estimated Arrival Time

We require a 4 to 5 hour window of arrival.

 

Entry to Your Home or Office

For recurring service, we prefer having a key to your home or office or picking-up a key from your building’s front desk. If you wish to be present during the cleaning, please note that we require a 4 to 5 hour window of arrival.

For all other cleaning services, we will make arrangements with you for entry based on our arrival window.
