I sat down with Reyna Valdez to get insight into her experience with Maid to Clean. It was truly heartwarming and inspiring to see how  Maid to Clean has helped Reyna develop into the woman she is today. During the interview, I was able to see a lot of similarities between Reyna and hard-working women who have left their home country for a better life. Read this interview to learn more about Reyna and her journey with Maid to Clean.

Hi, can you tell me your name and where you are from?

Reyna Valdes from Progresso, Honduras.

How long have you been with the company?

I have been working at Maid to Clean for 20 years.

What is the team dynamic like?

My relationship with the office team is very friendly and organized because everyone has their own role, and we all know who to ask for what. With the outside team (the employees out in the field), I also get along with them super well. Everyone is so professional, we discuss professional and personal topics, and help each other where we can. We are a family, we spend so much time together and always want to be there for each other.

Can you tell me about one of your best memories with Maid to Clean?

Cindy Bermudez (owner of Maid to Clean) gives everyone on the team opportunities to grow and develop. When I first arrived to the United States I worked at a hotel for one year.  I am so happy that I landed a job at Maid to Clean and found my place.

What are some things you learned from this role?

I’ve learned that it is so important to treat others with respect, to not dwell on the past, to be selfless and a good leader. Working at Maid to Clean has taught me to be a leader, to listen and care about others, and that it is important to support one another.

What is your greatest accomplishment with the company?

I  want to help other women learn, become more professional, and continue to grow the Maid to Clean business. Since I have been here for 20 years, I hope to be a leader and to help new employees with advice on what I have learned.

What do you see yourself doing in the future?

In the future, I  want to go back to Honduras, retire and build a house for my family. This is a real possibility for me as Maid to Clean has given me an opportunity and the ability to save for the future.  I don’t see myself working anywhere else until I retire!

Any last words?

I would like to thank Maid to Clean for trusting me.  Because of Cindy (owner of Maid to Clean), I’m where I am today, alive, happy, and healthy. Maid to Clean has been a true blessing.
