Ah summer … when – depending on our station in life – we:
- slow down
- ferry kids to camps
- get kids off to college
- welcome grads back home
The last one is now increasingly the norm, not just because of the economy but because we have a diverse and international population in the DC-metro region where families routinely enjoy multi-generational and joint family living. In some ways, it’s a wonderful thing, with an irreplaceable sense of kinship. But it doesn’t come without downsides – more people means more mess. And that’s where we come in.
